About the teachers

The Qigong wisdom tradition and teachers from which my understanding, training, skill and inspiration come

Grandmaster Pang, Ming He

Zhineng Qigong was developed originally in China by Ming Pang, affectionately called Pang Lao-shi, “revered teacher.” Pang Lao-shi is a grandmaster who studied and practiced Oriental Medicine and Western medicine, and intensively studied with 19 grandmaster's before developing this particular form. There are four levels now being taught, three in the West, with six levels altogether.

Pang Lao-shi also founded a research and teaching medicineless hospital/Center in China which he closed down a few years ago, due to new laws about large gatherings for qigong in China. From this hospital came more than 200,000 documented studies of the “miraculous” healing in over 200 different diseases and problems. (Luke, who renamed Zhineng “Chi-Lel™” for Western students, wrote “101 Miracles of Natural Healing” to share some of these amazing stories.)

Luke and Frank Chan

Zhineng Qigong was brought first to the world outside China by Luke and Frank Chan, who named their form Frank Chan Chi-Lel™ Qigong. Luke has developed an extensive teaching library of audio tapes, CD's and video tapes, and continues to teach in China and Europe. Frank teaches in the United States. Their web site is www.chilel.com.

Master Zhankui Liu

Master LiuBased on the principles of the fundamental Hunyuan Entirety Theory, Master Liu compiled and created a very rational and effective new form - Zhineng Breathing Exercise (ZBE) for the sick to restore health within a short period of time, the healthy to keep fit and achieve longevity as well as advanced standards of practice.

Master Liu discovered and mastered the law of mysterious-aperture opening-up method which was an ancient wisdom development method (Dang Tou Bang He) passed down from the sages over thousands of years. Master Liu combined the mysterious-aperture opening-up method (MAOM) with Prof. Pang’s Qi-field theory, which created many miracles during group healing and group practice. The practitioners whose vital points were opened up attained superb health and longevity; they have also obtained advanced levels of wisdom (unusual powers).

"Humble Attitude, Unshakable Faith, Selfless Love, and Hard Practice!" is his famous motto to reach enlightenment. He lives a very simple life with abundant love to his disciples and whomever seeks his guidance and help.

Chunyi Lin

Chunyi LinChunyi trained with several grandmasters in China and came to the United States in 1995 to teach Spring Forest Qigong, which he developed. He has also written a wonderful book, "Born A Healer" and developed a complete set of training videos, audiotapes, manuals and CD's for each of the four Levels. His website is www.springforestqigong.com.

Jane (Xiaoguang) Jin

Jane (Xiaoguang) JinJane (Xiaoguang) Jin, Ph.D., researcher, translator, educator, former Associate Professor in natural science at Yanshan University, P. R. CHINA, and Visiting Associate Professor at Ohio State University, the United States.

Jane started Zhineng Qigong practice in 1995. She attended various training programs including a Two-year Correspondence Certificate Program at the previous Hua Xia Zhineng Qigong Training Center in China.

Jane joined Master Liu’s web class in June 2006, and became his direct disciple-student during her 2006 Christmas Retreat in China. This two-week stay with Master Liu totally changed her life in both body and mind. With Master Liu's powerful initiation, Jane has made dramatic progress in the past nine months that are unimaginable in comparison with her previous ZQ practice over a decade. Master Liu has given her full authorization to promote his new system of teachings worldwide.

Jane has always had a warm and sympathetic heart for the English-speaking practitioners who seek genuine instructions and guidance from the Chinese Zhineng Qigong groups. In addition to the translation of some of Dr. Pang’s work and publication of
Life More Abundant, Jane is working on translating more of both Prof. Pang’s and Master Liu’s teachings and lectures, which will be distributed among the students who are enrolled in the Three-year Correspondence Certificate Program sponsored by Abundant Life Qigong Intelligence Center.

Jane Jin is currently my teacher for a weekly Saturday morning online advanced study and support group, with one hour lecture in the teachings and one hour group meditation. It is a very powerful class!.

Dawn Song

For me, environmental pollution (living downwind from Hanford), childhood diseases and a genetic predisposition to immune system disorders have led to severe problems at times. Yoga and Chinese medicine, with herbs and acupuncture helped. But the long-lasting and powerful remedy was when I started to practice Qigong in 1991.

I have over 45 years experience and training in the fields of health and education.

In the field of Qigong and Yoga, I have studied and practiced Tai Ji (4 years) and Hatha Yoga (45 years). I am certified to teach Hatha Yoga and I continue to practice Yoga as an effective stretching and calming meditation.

I have studied Qigong with four different Masters:

*Soaring Crane Qigong (1991-1997) with Professor Chen (Huixien), who studied with the founder, Master Zhao. I completed a two year teacher training program and am certified to teach this Qigong.

*Zhineng Qigong (Chi Lel) (1997 to present, including a month in China) with Luke and Frank Chan, who studied with the founder, Master Pang, (Minghe). I am certified to teach this Qigong.

*Spring Forest Qigong (2003 to present) with Master Lin (Chunyi), who developed this form.

*Zhineng Breathing Exercises (2007 to present) with Jin, (Xiaoguan) ("Jane"), who studies with the founder, Master Liu, (Zhangkui). I have been encouraged by Jane to teach this Qigong.

I have steadily practiced Qigong since 1991. My practice has radically affected my life. I have experienced the potency of healing through Qigong by continually healing myself of serious immune system dysfunctions and socio/emotional trauma related to my deafness and family dysfunctions.

In the field of health, I have extensive training in Swedish/Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Myofascial Release as well as other modalities. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (OR#3631), specializing in Qigong (energy) healing, relaxation, acupressure, trigger point and Myofascial therapy. I have worked as a massage therapist since 1991.

In the field of education, I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Education: Deafness, as well as hundreds of hours of post-graduate training. I have taught a wide range of ages, from deaf infants and preschoolers and their families in a home training program, to middle school, college and elderly. I taught preschool for 10 years, middle school for 4 years, college for 5 years, and in various community education and private programs. I believe in the meaning of education: "to draw forth", drawing from within each person their own vitality, enthusiasm and wisdom.

Our society has so many personal and environmental stressors that cause us to become unbalanced and ill. We seek solace in TV, movies, rich food or other forms of escape. We ignore our symptoms until our bodies, minds and emotions demand that we pay attention. So often when we become stressed and then become ill, we lose our perspective that we can be active and effective participants in our healing.

Healing comes in many forms, in different ways at different times. It must include all aspects of our being: body, mind, emotions, spirit. My sessions and classes target the whole person -- to enhance feelings of well-being, to discover ways of well-doing, to create avenues of well-thinking, to encourage ways of well-feeling. My goal is to empower people to become active in their own healing through the practice of Qigong. My vision is "Healing into Harmony".
